Born in Aichi, Japan in 1986. Graduated from Tokyo Zokei University, majoring in Photography. Started making films after a chance interaction with the stir-fried noodle shop 「Isomuraya」when he was a university student. His debut theatrical feature film is 「Chiisana, Akari」, a documentary shot with great empathy and minimal equipment about the quiet lifestyle in the Oosawa district in Shizuoka city.
